Feeding for Dogs
Northwest Naturals is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the
AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles For All Life Stages.

All dogs are different.  Amount to feed will vary based on age, activity level, and environment.  During the last trimester, pregnant bitches should be fed 50% more than the daily maintenance level.  Feed puppies and lactating females 2-3 times the daily maintenance level.

When beginning to use Northwest Naturals, start slowly by adding Northwest Naturals to your dog’s current diet as follows 30% NWN and 70% old food for 2 days. Then 50% NWN and 50% old food for two days.  Then 70% NWN and 30% old food for 2 days.  Better change for a longer healthier, happier life!

Feeding for Cats
Northwest Naturals Chicken with Salmon Dinner Nuggets for cats is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for Cat Maintenance.

All Cats are different.  Amount to feed will vary based on age, activity level and environment.
Feed lactating females 2-3 times the maintenance level.
Cats usually like food at room temperature or slightly warm. Do not overheat.  When beginning to use Northwest Naturals, start slowly adding ¼ of a patty to your cat’s current diet for a few days. 

Keep frozen until ready for use.  For best results, defrost in refrigerator.  Actual feeding amounts will vary contingent upon activity level, life stage, and metabolic rate. 

Safe Handling Guidelines:  This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry.  Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness to you or your pet if the product is mishandled.  Keep frozen until ready for use.  For best results, thaw product in the refrigerator.

*Keep raw product separate from other foods. * Wash working surfaces, utensils, hands, and any other items that touch or contact raw product with hot soapy water.  *Refrigerate any uneaten portion immediately.

        


THAWING INSTRUCTIONS

1) Place nuggets or individually wrapped dinner bars in the refrigerator. They will be ready to use in a couple of hours depending on your refrigerator's temperature.

2) You may also place the frozen nuggets or bars on a covered plate or in a covered bowl and thaw in a cool place for about 20 minutes, for immediate feeding.

3) To serve at room temperature or slightly warm, place thawed food into a plastic bag and submerge in warm water for a few minutes for immediate feeding.

~ Nuggets will pour out of the bag easily.

~ Individually wrapped dinner bars can be removed by cutting off the end of the wrapping.

~ All thawed food should remain fresh in the refrigerator for approximately 2 - 3 days.

~ The Nuggets and Bars should be stored in the freezer and used prior to our labeled "best 
if used by" date. 

~ NEVER REFREEZE THE THAWED PRODUCT.
